I first heard Bill Johnson speak at an IT meeting around 2002. Wow was he mesmerizing! He talked about playing football in college and how he was working to lose weight. He held up a jacket he used to wear that was huge on him now. He had changed his eating and was exercising at the Y and having his suits altered to smaller sizes. This vice president at the time could afford a personal trainer, a home gym, and a whole new wardrobe but he was getting in shape like the rest of us. He was so inspiring that I went on my own exercise program. After 1 year this 5’3 frame went from 170 lbs to 130. Eight years later I still eat right and have kept the weight off. Bill, you don’t remember me. But I remember many of your talks, especially this one. And I am sure you have added years to my life by convincing me that yes, I could do it to. Thank you. PS – You have a gifted career ahead of you. I recommend public speaking or teaching ethics in an MBA program. They would be lucky to get you.
